This pop-up book is the result of my experiment in which I tried to transform my drawings into plastic forms. With this work, I explored a new way of drawing by taking my pictures off the flat surface.
The word “vielseitig” (many-sided) conveys two different meaning. One of them refers to many sides of the pop-up structure and the other relates to the diverse faces of Jongno, a district in Seoul, South Korea.
Located in central Seoul, Jongno is a complex area where it shows a mixture of tradition and modernity.
5 different neighborhoods in Jongno are chosen for this book: Nagwon, Ikseon, Jangsa, Seochon, and Jonggak.
